The John Uhr Memorial GAR Tournament

is in honor of our dear and beloved

friend, Capt. John Uhr, II.  We lost Capt.

Johnny Dec. 30, 2010.  He was an avid

sportsman and well known sportfishing

captain...and one of his favorite "critters"

to chase was the ol' gar!

He grew up fishing the waters of the

Texas Coast and even named a famous

area the locals know as the "Gar Hole."
